He will either kick your ass himself, or let Hayan kick your ass and he'll be in the background smiling smugly and proudly. Euntae is clever, loyal, and hard to figure out (in a good way). She is such a strong female protagonist, and not in a #i'mnotlikeothergirls way. Hayan is caring, trustworthy, and fiercely devoted to those she cares about. Each has a unique personality and individual strengths, and a common goal that causes them to join forces. Between the two leads, Hayan Park and Euntae Hwang, there is no shortage of sass, loyalty, or badassery. These end of episode cliffhangers are going to slowly strangle me because I need to know what happens next. The plot starts very lowkey, it doesn't seem like much, then BAM! Stuff happens and the plot ensnares you and doesn't let you go. I did not think I'd like it at all because I tend to find vampire stories cheesy, but this one is the opposite of cheese.
